Artist Sam Wolfe Connelly has a solo show, “Nocturne,” opening this Friday, February 8th at Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle, Washington. Sam lives and works in New York City where he moved to recently after graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. He grew up in Virginia. I sat down with him to ask a few questions which you can check out below as well as get an exclusive sneak peak of some of the pieces in the show:

13 new pieces debuting this Friday at Roq La Rue gallery
My solo show opens next week at Roq La Rue in Seattle with 13 new paintings and drawings.
I’ll also be attending the opening reception on February 8th.
Society of Illustrators just uploaded the FULL video of our ‘First Four Years’ panel discussion from a few months back. Featuring advice from me, Kali Ciesemier, Victo Ngai, Dadu Shin, Daniel Fishel and John Malta, where we answer questions about making a living off of art the first years out of school.
Definitely a lot of good advice dished out, so I would totally recommend watching it through if you’re a student of recent grad.
